The Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, are excited to announce their first-ever March Math-ness Challenge, partnering with Grand Rapids schools to boost math fluency from in March.
Teachers and students will compete for the crown of Champion and be recognized during a Gold Game at Van Andel Arena.
Powered by FlashHoops, the Challenge bracket will be a competition based on participation and performance by teachers in class and students at home.
The challenge is to complete as many math activities via FlashHoops web and mobile platform as possible.
Sessions include interactive physical activities in class group and at home drills done while simultaneously working on math facts. All completed sessions count, even repeats!

Teachers are to use the free FlashHoops for Schools web app. After registering teachers will receive a link to the site for use.
The in class activity is a group activity to engage your classroom. Engage with the platform in 5 minute increments and challenge your students to compete on who can answer the most math problems for their team.

Teachers log the most in class activities and students complete the most sessions from March 17 - 21 and FlashHoops will track their progress.

The challenge begins on March 17th, and ends March 21st.
